Mrs. Kristen Axline
Career: I have taught Kindergarten through third grade in Bullitt County since 1998. This is my 23rd year of teaching and my 14th year at Freedom! I love building relationships with children and watching them grow. We will work hard and laugh every day. I also love to learn and grow as a teacher.
Family: My husband and I have been married for 23 years (this October). We have three awesome children (ages 18, 14, and 7) who make life fun, provide opportunities to practice patience, and remind me of the importance of prayer. We attend and volunteer at Southeast Christian Church. In my spare time...I like to read, scrapbook, decorate cakes, and search up ideas on Pinterest.
Fun Facts: I never drink coffee (lots of water, some sweet tea, and an occasional Pepsi for me). Green is my favorite color. I probably eat chocolate at least once a day. My favorite food is nachos but I enjoy a variety of foods. I constantly have books checked out from the public or church library. Reading is equivalent to breathing for me. I am a person with two cats but do not consider myself a "cat person." My kids have also talked me into getting a pet turtle and fish. Our family enjoyed socially distancing along the coast of California this summer. I was the Summer Reading Program Coordinator for Bullitt County Public Schools. My favorite quote is: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
